The Target Pay Range for this position is $110,900-$135,600 annually. The full Pay Range is $86,100-$160,300 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.BENEFITS

Collaborative Development: Engage in system analysis, coding, testing, and debugging, in partnership with mentors and senior engineers.Process Automation: Innovate and automate business processes and interactions, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.Technical Integration: Develop and implement technical requirements into our data workflows, collaborating closely with your manager and senior engineers.Data Solution Implementation: Contribute to the design and execution of prototypes, proofs of concept, and data solutions. Utilize programming languages like Java, Pyspark, Python and Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, and Cloud-based data warehousing services such as Redshift and Snowflake.Metadata and Data Policy Management: Support and administer the implementation of metadata management and master data policies.Coding Mentorship: Review and guide the code of junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.Technical Roadmap Participation: Be an active voice in discussions shaping the team's technology strategy and vision.Skill Advancement: Work with the leadership team to develop a personalized training plan to enhance your data engineering skills.Additional Contributions: Embrace additional responsibilities as they arise, showcasing your adaptability and growth.Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.At least 2 years of experience in data engineering.Proficiency in Python, PySpark Scala, Java, SQL, Airflow, dbt.Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).Experience with modern data platforms (Azure Synapse, Databricks, Redshift, Big Query, Snowflake).Expertise in ETL/ELT, SQL, and cloud data integration tools (Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Informatica).Comprehensive foundation in SQL, data modeling, data warehousing, and data analysis.Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery systems and tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub).Experience in using git for pull requests and adhering to branching standards (Git Flow or Trunk-Based Development).Fundamental understanding of Test-Driven Development, including unit, integration, or performance/load testing.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with master data (MDM), metadata, and data governance tools.Experience in banking domain but not mandatory.Demonstrated ability to deliver scalable data solutions using compatible programming languages.Ability to oversee data lifecycle management, from ideation to retirement.EEO Statement:
