The Target Pay Range for this position is $134,200-$164,000 annually. The full Pay Range is $104,200-$194,000 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.BENEFITS

Data Design Mastery: Craft and develop multi-tier, complex systems including analysis, coding, and documentation.Mentorship and Leadership: Guide and support data engineering teams, enhancing business data processes and systems.Technical Communication: Effectively present technical concepts to the engineering community.Workflow Innovation: Design and execute intricate workflows to meet technical data requirements.Prototype Development: Create and implement prototypes and proofs of concept, integrating your deep understanding of data workflow design.Policy Implementation: Apply metadata management and master data strategies within data workflows.Team Coordination: Mentor and organize teams for effective development and testing of data system components.Technology Vision: Collaborate in designing your team's technology roadmap.Skill Development: Assist in developing a training plan for advanced data engineering skills.Quality Champion: Uphold and enhance code quality standards.Programming languages: Java, Pyspark, Python and Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases and Cloud based data warehousing services such as Redshift and Snowflake.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.At least 5 years of data engineering experience.Proficiency in Python, PySpark Scala, Java, SQL, Airflow, dbt.Solid experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).Skilled in modern data platforms (Azure Synapse, Databricks, Redshift, Big Query, Snowflake).Expertise in ETL/ELT, SQL, and cloud data integration tools (Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Informatica, etc.).Proven experience in SQL, data modeling, data warehousing, and data analysis.Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery systems (Azure DevOps, GitHub).Familiarity with git, code reviews, pull requests, and branching standards (Git Flow or Trunk-Based Development).Experience in Test Driven Development, including unit, integration, and performance/load testing.Demonstrated ability to develop scalable data solutions and stay updated with emerging technologies.Proven experience leading and collaborating in a team environment throughout the SDLC.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in master data (MDM), metadata, and data governance tools (Alation, Erwin, Collibra, Azure Purview).Experience in banking domain but not mandatory.EEO Statement:
