An insurance organization in New Jersey is actively seeking an experience Tax Accountant to join their growing team. Reporting to the Tax Manager, the Tax Accountant will be responsible for focusing on a broad range of tax matters related to the corporation and partnership structures, including financial reporting, compliance, M&A activities, and non-income based taxes.
Responsibilities:
The Tax Accountant will:Work with Tax Manager and external advisors to ensure the timely and accurate filing of federal and state corporate and partnership returnsAssist with annual K-1 reporting process for a 700+ multi-member partnershipOversee the consolidated financial statement reporting of income taxes and legal entity reporting in accordance with ASC 740Oversee all aspects of Federal and State income tax filingsProactively manage and maintain provision and compliance deadlinesEnsure compliance with tax accounting processes, controls, and maintain appropriate documentationMonitor changes in tax legislation and regulations, and communicate the necessary recommendations to managementConduct the Federal, Multistate, or Local tax technical research, as neededPrepare sales and use tax returns and other non-income tax and its related paymentsAssist with transfer pricing documentation and analysis for multi-legal entity org structureEnsure appropriate documentation of processes are maintainedPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:
3+ years of relevant Tax experienceBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, and/or a related fieldCPAExperience in a Public Accounting and/or Private industryMicrosoft Excel proficientSolid analytical, mathematical, and research skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organized
