A financial services firm in New York City is actively seeking an experienced Accounting professional to join their staff as their new Senior Fund Accountant / Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Fund Accountant / Accounting Manager will:Review the books and records prepared by the fund administratorCalculate and analyze investor IRRs and fund returnsReview month-end NAV from fund administrator which includes cash and interest reconciliations, expense accruals, holdings, etc.Prepare monthly P&L analyticsTrain and review the workpapers prepared by the offshore accounting teamMaintain fund expense budgets and allocations, track expenses, and coordinate updates with fund administratorAnalyze fund performance and assist with business modelingCoordinate and manage the audit process with internal and external auditorsReview annual audited and quarterly unaudited GAAP and IFRS financial statementsAssist in the setup and launch of new funds and financial productsLiaise with operations team on fund transactions and activitiesAssist in preparing and analyzing pricing and valuation materialsQualifications:
5+ years of experience working in a Public and/or Private Accounting roleBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Accounting, and/or a related disciplineFund Accountant backgroundMicrosoft Excel proficientSolid analytical and research skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organizedDesired Skills:
CPA or partsPrivate Debt experienceVBA/Macro knowledge
