The Director of Project Management plays a vital role in overseeing and managing the successful execution of solar energy projects for our company. This position requires strong leadership, project management expertise, and a deep understanding of the solar energy industry. The Director of Project Management will lead a team of project managers, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the timely and efficient completion of solar energy projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project managers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering/Permitting, Procurement/Supply Chain, Construction, and the customer to develop and implement project plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Monitor and control project scope, schedule, and budget to achieve successful project outcomes. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the project management team. Utilize strong financial acumen to manage project budgets, analyze financial reports, and make data-driven decisions. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices in the solar, energy storage, and EVSE sectors. Develop a training program for new hires as well as continuing education for the project management team. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in a project management role with a proven track record of successfully managing and leading teams. PMP certification is preferred. Background in solar, energy storage, or EVSE is preferred but not mandatory. Strong financial acumen and experience managing project budgets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
