Job SummaryDesigns, develops, writes and maintains textual and graphic web page content and electronic news distributions for the Harrison College of Pharmacy.
Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of timeAdditional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloadsAssistance with special projectsSeasonal workEmergenciesIf you are looking for an employment opportunity, TES is a great way to showcase your professional skills and assist Auburn University while gaining valuable work experience within higher education.
AU students are not eligible for TES.
Essential Functions
Write, edit, and develop news and feature stories that tell the college's story to both internal and external audiences.Plan, develop, and execute captivating digital content that highlight various aspects of the college.Create a variety of printed material for the college, from postcards to multi-page publications.Create a variety of digital material for use on the web, social media, and other mediums.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or related field.Expectations:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and project management skills.Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite of softwareExperience with the Microsoft Office suite of software
Desired Qualifications
Experience in storytelling through various mediumsExperience creating marketing material and advertising programs and events.
