Per Diem
Psychiatrist
to join our team at
Eastern Correctional Institution
located in
Westover, Maryland.Responsibilities:The
Psychiatrist
provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for patients, works under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director, and provides clinical leadership for a multidisciplinary team in providing mental health services to patients with psychiatric disorders or other mental health issues.Qualifications:Documentation of education as MD or DO and completion of accredited residency program requiredCurrent license to practice medicine in MarylandMust be Board Eligible or Board CertifiedMust have and maintain an active, non-restricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certificateMust be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicableExperience in a correctional health setting or institutional setting preferredAvailable Shift:DayshiftBenefits:Some of the unique benefits of correctional healthcare include:A clinically interesting, diverse patient population in a secure and structured settingExciting and rewarding career in one of the fastest growing areas of healthcareFreedom from insurance, coding and reimbursement hasslesAbility to make a real difference to an important and underserved population!
