JOB SUMMARY:Primary responsibility for leading all Sales employees and related efforts in a Division. Responsible for setting and achieving revenue targets that align with Margin, Return and other financial metrics for the Division. Serve as member of Division Operating Team and business partner to Division President. Oversee Marketing employees and related efforts as needed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESWork with Division President and Operating Team to define revenue, unit and profitability objectives for Division. Translate objectives into measurable goals and actions plans for all General Sales Managers and Sales Consultants in Division.Understand and articulate competitive positioning for all PulteGroup assets in Division and develop strategies to maximize desired business results in any competitive environment.Responsible for effective opening and ongoing operations of all Communities within Division, including pricing strategy, in conjunction with Division President and/or VP of Finance.Work with other members of Operating Team (Mortgage, Finance, Construction, Land, Purchasing, etc.) to maximize operational effectiveness and develop processes and capabilities to further operational objectives. Includes but not limited to: Customer Satisfaction, Quality, Closing Efficiency, etc.Lead organizational change management within Sales discipline and facilitate successful launch and implementation of any new programs that impact the sales organization.Responsible for 1-2 year strategic planning for sales capability and productivity in Division. Plans must be dynamic and responsive to changes in market conditions, corporate objectives and other factors. MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES With Direct ReportsEnsures appropriate staffing to meet department needsUtilizes recruiting and selection tools/processes to build organizational talentDelegates work according to employee’s abilities and skillsEvaluates employee’s performance and plans for compensation actions in accordance with that performanceProvides developmental opportunities through identification of internal and external training opportunitiesCreates opportunities for employee growthProvides continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards (technical skills and behaviors)
