LEAVE OF ABSENCE ADMINISTRATOR
Jetro/Restaurant Depot’s Human Resources Department is expanding, join us as we grow. As the Leave Administrator coordinate details from the initial claim to receipt of claim to return-to-work, ensuring all processes and federal and state regulations are followed. You'll also enhance your working knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, and ADA, comparable state regulations,
RESPONSIBILITIES
Engage with employees in the interactive process for medical accommodations
Research and analyze claims to determine eligibility and certification in compliance with state, federal, international regulations
Coordinate all leave types including FMLA, PFL, CFRA, STD, LTD, military, and state mandated
Advise employees and managers regarding leave policy and sick/vacation hours use policy and procedures
Track LOA and input pay information in ADP EV5
Partner with other HR Team Members and Payroll to support employment decisions when approved leave time is exhausted
Review ADA requests for reasonable accommodation with VP of HR and Benefits Manager.
Work with benefit carriers including workers’ compensation, LTD, PFL and others.
Maintain close contact with employees and keep managers informed about expected duration, return to work dates, extensions, etc.
Gather critical data as requested (case notes, LOA dates, etc.) to support the company in its compliance efforts and defense of legal matters
Identify trends of usage and abuse and be able to collaborate with management and HR on a plan of correction.
Communicate with employees and managers to coordinate the return to work process, including leave expirations.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
4 to 6 years of experience in FMLA and ADA administration
Knowledge of FMLA, ADA and multi-state requirements
Highly organized, strong follow-up skills, and the ability to multi-task
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with discretion
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization
Bachelor’s or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience
Salary Information: $33.00-$35.00 Per Hour
