At Sinclair Tractor, we pride ourselves on being the destination in Southeast Iowa for agricultural equipment, precision farming, agronomic decision support, NAPA parts and supplies. With thirteen John Deere dealerships, five NAPA parts locations and a Supply Store, we are looking for motivated and talented people to join our team.
Purpose:
Responsible for representing the company well through the sale of machinery to walk in customers and the success for location sales.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:Represents the company for the sale of machinery to walk in customersMaintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership with an emphasis on Turf products, implements, attachments and
Provides quoting and pricing support to outside sales, including building mater quotesMeet with Service Manager weekly to go over the sales/service priority listMeet with the Regional Sales Manager weekly to go over priorities, challenges, and opportunitiesAudit of display and conditions of equipment for security of equipment, readiness, displayed with attachments for the season and appealing to the customerOrganize lot and showroom based on season providing the best customer experience with both equipment and static displaysLook at entire locations outstanding Handle sales calls and tasks and follow up with salesmen as needed to ensure they are owning their customerExperience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
2+ years of successful sales experience selling ag equipment or working with related equipment is strongly preferredKnowledge of agricultural, application and turf equipment as well as farming or operational practices preferredAbility to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functionsAbility to work flexible hoursExcellent customer relationship and communication skills, both written and verbalHigh School diploma or GED requiredAA degree in business or agriculture-related field is preferredWorking Conditions & Requirements:
All weather conditionsSitting for extended periods of timeStanding for extended periods of timeLifting at least 75 poundsOffice and Workshop settingTravel as needed
