With thirteen John Deere dealerships, five NAPA parts locations and a Supply Store, we are looking for motivated and talented people to join our team.
Purpose :
Manage the sales activities for a specific region or customer segment including the implementation of the Sales Department objectives and sales processes for complete goods. Responsible for all sales metrics for a specific region or segment. Attracts, retains, and effectively coaches department personnel.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:Responsible for the new and used Market Share performance in assigned counties, especially with large ag equipment and technologyManages and coaches Sales Professionals in a specific region and/or customer segment to ensure resource activity execution is aligned with intended goals and outcomesEnsures sales metrics and goals are met for a specific region or customer segment primarily through Sales ChecklistsCreates development plans for direct reports which includes identifying training needsOversee and ensure effective ownership of assigned customers and the respective relationships to capitalize on sales opportunities and market shareWorks with Corporate Service and Corporate Parts Managers to promote customer satisfactionManages budgets for a specific region or customer segment, in alignment with the organization's financial and operational objectivesManages recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for direct reportsManages sales department equipment including vehicles and sales office equipmentMay develop and implement incentives plans for sales team and customersAssist with creating the Sales Department business plan for their respective regionMay oversee used and new wholegoods inventory levels and metricsUse sales scorecard and performance metrics to drive performance of self and assigned sales team membersEstablish and communicate regional and territory specific initiatives and activitiesManage Sales Professionals territory management to strengthen key customer relationships and drive the activity that leads to sales via selling/negotiating processesCoach and support skill development and career planning; evaluate performanceEnsures that a consistent sales process is followed for their region or customer segmentEnsures the sales document process is established and followed by sales team members for their region or customer segmentProvides input to the Marketing Manager in the development of the wholegoods marketing strategy for their region or customer segmentWorks with other Division Sales Managers to identify and execute best practicesExperience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
3+ years of successful sales experience selling ag equipment or working with related equipment is strongly preferredKnowledge of agricultural, application and turf equipment as well as farming or operational practices preferredAbility to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functionsAbility to work flexible hoursExcellent customer relationship and communication skills, both written and verbalHigh School diploma or GED requiredBachelor's degree in business or agriculture-related field is preferredWorking Conditions & Requirements:
All weather conditionsSitting for extended periods of timeStanding for extended periods of timeLifting at least 75 poundsOffice and Workshop settingTravel as needed
