A professional services firm in New York City is currently seeking an experienced Tax professional to join their staff in Manhattan as their new Tax Senior / Manager / Sr. Manager. In this role, the Tax Senior / Manager / Sr, Manager will be responsible for providing tax compliance and consulting services to Investment Management clients.
Responsibilities:
The Tax Senior / Manager / Sr. Manager will:Perform tax planningPerform detail-level reviews of tax research, regulated investment company (RIC) tax work papers, financial statement provisions and related tax disclosures and Federal and relevant State returns, excise calculations, and RIC compliance testsIdentify complex tax issues and provide tax analyses for a variety of entities and their affiliatesSupervise tax consultantsAttend required firm-wide and sector-specific training.Perform other duties, as neededQualifications:
2+ years of experience providing Tax Planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income Tax ReturnsBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, and/or TaxationCPA or parts passedBasic understanding of Subchapter K, Financial Products, Wash Sale and Constructive Sale rulesFamiliarity with Aggregate AllocationsMicrosoft Excel proficientSolid analytical, mathematical, and research skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organizedDesired Skills:
Previous experience working for a Big 4Knowledge of Fund Accounting and General Ledger Accounting
