An investment services company in Connecticut is looking to add a new Senior Accountant to their growing team. In this role, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for the accounting & financial reporting of the firm's portfolio companies across a wide range of industries.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for:Overseeing external bookkeepers, to ensure accurate and timely management reportingManaging accounts payable processes and optimize financial workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Collaborating with the investment team to conduct in-depth financial research, analysis, and documentation for strategic decision-makingLeading ad hoc projects related to financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to support the overall financial health of the portfolioProviding comprehensive support to senior executives, including the Principal, in managing personal and family financesSupporting the Controller in various financial tasks and assisting the CFO with financial strategies and initiativesPerforming other duties, as neededQualifications:
3+ years of Public Accounting experienceBachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or TaxationCPA or parts passedBackground in either Audit and/or TaxMicrosoft Excel proficientSolid analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organized
