A private organization in California is currently seeking a new Controller for a promising opportunity with their growing team. In this role, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing the finance and accounting operations for the organization.

Responsibilities:

The Controller will:Prepare/review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reportingPrepare/review audit schedules, tax reports, financial information, KPI's, budgets, etc.Provide internal and external financial analysis and reporting as needed - capital expenditures, cost/benefit projects, ROI analysis, special projects, and recommendationsManage the capital request and budgeting processesAssist in overall treasury managementPrepare cash projections, manage cash flow planning process, and ensure funds availabilityOversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the strategic planDevelop business plans and forecasts in collaboration with senior leadershipOversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets to monitor progress and present operational metrics internally and externallyAssist in cash management and ensure compliance with the board approved investment policy and investment of short-term funds in accordance with established guidelines and practicesOversee accounting staff to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functionsPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:

5+ years of progressive Finance experienceBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, & FinanceProficient in Database and Accounting computer application systemsMicrosoft Excel proficientSolid analytical and problem solving skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organizedDesired Skills:

CPAAuditing backgroundExperience with Nonprofit sectors, Educational entities and/or independent schoolsAuditing backgroundExperience with Blackbaud financial management software
