A recognized services organization in North Carolina is looking to add a new Accountant II to their growing team in Charlotte. In this role, the Accountant II will be responsible for analyzing, calculating, and recording payroll and general accounting financial data.
Responsibilities:
The Accountant II will:Prepare monthly journal entries for month end close and prepares assigned account reconciliationsAnalyze and determine corrections for any inappropriate activityCompile, retrieve, and summarize accounting information for analysis and reporting purposesIdentify and report opportunities for improvement and standardizationPrepare work papers in a clear and concise manner in accordance with management and auditor requirementsPrepare ad hoc reporting requests, other analysis, and special projects as requested by managementPerform duties in compliance with GAAP, company and department policies and procedures, internal controls, and SOX requirementsProvide accurate and timely customer service, when neededPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:
1+ year of related Accounting experienceBachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or a related fieldThorough understanding of Payroll related activity and accountsSolid analytical and mathematical skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organized
