Physicians Surgical Network Affiliates are looking for a full-time Purchasing Manager to join our team.

PSN Affiliates, manages surgery centers throughout Texas to give superior patient care.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related discipline

Two (2) years of management experience which included (l) planning and directing the work of others; (2) assigning and reviewing their work; (3) advising them on difficult problem areas; (4) timing and scheduling their work; and (5) training and developing them.

Three (3) to five (5) years relevant to medical office/hospital operations, purchasing, contract and vendor management experience.

Position Summary

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing daily purchasing activities for all facilities. This person will set strategic direction for day to day activities, analyze current systems, creating the best methods for day-to-day operations and establish goals and monitor metrics such as KPI's. This position works closely with the Senior Director of Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain in establishing an on-going process to evaluate competitiveness of existing contracts and identify gaps within the contract portfolio; providing contracting and sourcing support to value analysis infrastructure; ensuring contractual compliance; guide Bid Procedure and lead supplier negotiations. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling the resources necessary for the optimal performance of the Purchasing Department including the direct supervision of the buyers and specialists.

Position Responsibilities

Oversee day to day functions of the Purchasing Agents & Inventory Control.

Develops and implements PO process for the entire organization.

Review and enhance p2p processes of the department and organization.

Makes recommendations for vendor strategies and cost savings initiatives.

Establish and implement policies and procedures for the Department.

Responsible for training internal staff on the Purchasing Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance.

Performs cost and vendor analysis for goods and services. Identify opportunities for supply consolidation programs. Negotiate cost/quality services as required.

Oversees expediting procedures for the department. Monitors supply performance and resolve supplier delinquencies and develop new sources of supply and service.

Work closely with the leadership by providing strategic solutions and suggestions

Establish direction, goals, and performance reviews for purchasing agents, and direct reports.

Establish and maintain measurable performance metrics for all levels of Procurement activities (KPI's).
