Job Description
Fitness Center Managers report to the Associate Director of Campus Recreation and are responsible for the oversite of the Fitness Center Attendants. This position serves as a middle manager to ensure quality of student employment experience and safety of the students in the Fitness Center.
Responsibilities
Serve as a liaison between fitness center attendants and the Campus Recreation staffEnforce the policies put in place by the campus recreation team that are outlines in the Student Employee HandbookEnsure daily tasks are being completed by personnel by checking the daily task logs and enforcing the hourly countsImprove customer service by providing assistance to students working the front deskContinuously monitor the facility for safety hazards and cleanlinessAssist the campus recreation team in creating leadership development opportunities
Managers will work 12 hours per week in the Fitness Center; 6hours will be supervisory/ manager hours and 6 hours will be under regular shifts. Managers are considered to have two jobs on campus both at the fitness center. Managers are not permitted to work a third job on campus
