JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Human Resources serves as administrator for several critical human resources functions and workforce management, including compensation, benefits, employee/labor relations, health and safety, training, diversity, employee engagement, leave, attendance tracking, payroll, employee records and recruiting. Under minimal supervision, this position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and will support the organization’s program management and contract compliance functions. To succeed in this role, you must be adept at working effectively in an extremely pressured environment, highly organized with strong attention to detail, a critical thinker and skilled at completing multiple assignments within tight deadlines. We welcome individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment and providing exceptional customer service.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
Eight (8) years of recent HR experience, preferably in a professional services/staffing industry, and a solid track record of successfully implementing HR programs and initiatives.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat and virtual meeting platforms.
Ability to quickly learn HRIS and talent management systems.
SHRM-CP or HRCI PHR credential preferred.
Retired Veteran a plus.
