Our business continues to grow and evolve with a multitude of projects across several property sectors throughout Perth and regional Western Australia.Rowe Group’s Design Team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Urban Planner/Principal Urban Planner to join our dynamic land development team. With a core focus on residential land development comprising both large scale master planned estates and infill subdivision, the successful applicant will have a desire to work on a variety of urban expansion, residential, commercial, industrial and regional projects for a wide variety of private and public sector clients. The roles are Perth based, with the opportunity for travel to regional WA.As a Planner, this role will include preparation and lodgement of applications such as Regional and Local Scheme Amendments, Structure Plans, Subdivision, Local Development Plans, Policy review and the like. The role will require forward thinking and providing strategic advice to Clients, leading in to the preparation of those applications, and seeing those applications through to determination, and other related post-lodgement tasks, including negotiations with a range of stakeholders (including all key government agencies), as well as working with project managers to assist in the implementation of approvals. You will be required to coordinate and work with a variety of consultants within a project team, as well as managing budgets and invoicing, project programs, and mentoring of junior staff. a demonstrated knowledge of the WA planning system and ability to manage medium to large sized urban design (including built form) and land development projects, including Scheme Amendments, Structure Plans, Precinct Plans, subdivisions and detailed design, development applications, and other such projects.You should be able to work without supervision and provide mentorship, direction and guidance to other team members. You will also be expected to oversee project budgets, invoicing and proactively contribute to business development and marketing initiatives.Experience & Acumen –

depending on the position, a minimum of 5-10 years in planning, including experience dealing with land development projects, preferably master planned communities. Consultancy experience is preferred, but not required.Attributes –
