Job Summary:

The Department of Medicine Special Treatment and Research (STAR) Program at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time TH Senior Staff Assistant / Data Manager. The successful candidate will:

Oversee management of STAR Health Center (SHC) data collection and revise processes as required to ensure compliance with funder and regulatory requirements.Supervise data entry staff to ensure complete, accurate, and timely data entry.Enter/oversee entry of data for other SHC related projects as assigned.Evaluate programmatic data reports and provide recommendations for improvement.Continually develop data management strategies, develop Qualtiy Assurance reports to ensure accuracy of data provided.Use automated tools to extract data from multiple sources.Clearly convey findings, both written and orally, to non-technical stakeholders. This includes collaboration with other teams, understanding their needs, and providing reports and relevant data insights.Develop and deploy surveys using REDCap and Qualitrics.Upload data to multiple systems (internal and external) on a regular basis.Develop and maintain reports using SQL, as needed.Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree.3-years of recent experience with PC's and data management or equivalent.Proficiency using MS Excel & MS Access for data analysis, reporting and creating spreadsheets.Working knowledge with SQL for database management automaton, and data retrieval.Strong skill-set in data reporting, analysis and interpretation to support decision-making utilizing Tableau, SSRS, and Power Query.Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (E.H.R) systems and their functionalities, Preferably HealthBridge (Allscripts)/EPIC, and Cerner.
