Quality Assurance Engineer II

Responsibilities:
Provide Quality Engineering support to the metal fabrication and welding processesLead data collection and SPC Implementation across different product linesLead problem solving initiatives incorporating the use of data analysis, Quality tools, Root cause and Corrective action methodsCreate and validate all First Article characteristics from detail part and or drawings including flow down requirements from specificationDevelop customer data documentation packagesLead activities around continuous improvement projectsConduct visual & dimensional inspectionsGenerate Nonconformance and Corrective Action reportsConduct inspection of parts in process and final inspection.Maintain Quality records quality recordsParticipates and supports maintaining our ISO Quality System and ASME code certificationCollaborates with other functions to establish and improve design, manufacturing, and quality control methodsPerform internal audits to determine company's compliance to 3 rd party organizations, ASME and ISO.Requirements:
B.S. in Engineering or Science3-7 Years' experience working in Quality Assurance related fieldExperience in metal fabrication, including welding and examinationMust have strong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work one on one and in a team environmentDemonstrated problem solving skillsProficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPointWorking knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean ManufacturingUnderstanding of ISO 9001 QMS system and ensure product and processes are compliant to internal, industry and customer quality standards.Must have good project management skillsSelf-starter with a high level of attention to detail and highly motivated team playerExperience with statistical software (Minitab) and ERP (Epicor) system.NDE PT Level II or other Methods is a plusKnowledge of relevant codes/standards is a plus, e.g., ASME sections II, VIII, IX, V
