The Practice Systems Analyst (Knowledge Management-KM) plays a vital role working closely with the Firms attorney's, Practice Group Managers, Legal Project Management staff, and Information Service's teams to help identify, implement, maintain and support effective technology tools and resources incorporating a full suite of Legal industry applications.
This hybrid position is based in the Firm's New York offices in Hudson Yards. Hybrid - 3 days a week in the office
What is your mission:
-As the Systems Analyst, you will be part of a very selective team to help identify, implement and manage both new and existing innovative practice solutions to support the Firm's practices and methodologies.
-Oversee the Firms Practice systems, including their configurations, feeds, data collections and integrations with other systems.
-Administer existing KM solutions and be the direct liaison with the attorneys and staff in using the tools effectively and efficiently.
-Hands-on development, implementation and administration of Databases that enable KM and client services efficiencies.
-Work directly with the staff and the attorney's to identify and capture knowledge expertise and best practices using AI or any other tools to help simplify the KM process.
-Assist in promoting Firm-developed and acquired practice management systems and KM tools by creating technology demo's, leading training sessions, writing usage guides, and participating in educational events and presentations.
-Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Firm's KM activities and make the necessary recommendations for the Firm's improvement.
What skills do you need to be successful in this role:
-3+ yrs in Knowledge Management (KM) or working with an applications team in a Law Firm or an organizations Legal department.
-Building out wireframes and project plans
-Super strong understanding of AI prompts and their solutions, along with the ability to work with KM attorneys and teach/explain the Firm's new initiatives.
-Proficient in Visio or Lucidchart and hands-on with UML and wireframing an application and implementing effective KM solutions.
-Superb documentation and communication skills as you will be working with the Firm's attorneys, staff, and "C" level executives.
-Experience with KM tools and technologies, including document management systems, intranets and databases with a basic knowledge utilizing tools such as LexisNexis ,
Westlaw, Fastcase
-3+ years prior Law Firm experience a MUST ! ! !
