WHAT YOU WILL DO

Flexware is looking for a Solutions Architect that will work with multiple teams and interface with different areas of the business including Business Development, Delivery, and Operations. As a Solutions Architect you will have experience working in the Manufacturing space with experience in several areas including Controls and Automation, SCADA, MES, and/or Software Development. You will have several responsibilities that will encompass the following areas:

Pre- Sales Process (60-70%)Participate in internal calls as needed to review new opportunitiesParticipate in onsite or virtual meetings with clients for scope discoveryDesign solutions with potential BOM of hardware and/or softwareDevelop customer facing demonstrationsObtain pricing from vendors and/or sub-contractors as neededFill out Estimate worksheets to determine cost and effort needed for project scopeAuthor technical content for scope of work documentsParticipate in final review of proposal with Business Development and OperationsOwns the delivery handoff including information and knowledge transfer to proper delivery teamsArchitecture Services (5-15% billable time)Provide billable time to customers through project engagements on tasks such as but not limited to:

Readiness AssessmentsBOM review with hardware and softwareTechnical solutions architecture

Provide consulting to customers on block of time solutions architecture engagementsSales Enablement and Marketing (10-20%)Build and maintain internal demos of Flexware products and solutionsSupport marketing by producing new case studies, solutions overviews, PowerPoints, and blog postsMaintain vendor web portals for FlexwareCollaborate with Sales Coordinator to improve and enhance proposal processes and toolsContinuous Learning and Other Duties (5-10%)Learning new technologies and products that could enhance Flexware's offerings to clientsAttending vendor training events**Please note that we are not interviewing candidates that require sponsorship now or in the future**WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE DONE BEFORE

Flexdogs are a rare breed of people. They come from varied backgrounds, but typically have some of the following traits for this role:

Received a technical Bachelor's Degree such as a Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical concentration.10+ years of experience working as an engineer, engineering consultant, or technical consultant to manufacturing companies providing solutions in Automation, HMI, and SCADAExperience working with end manufacturing clients architecting and consulting in the Automation and Controls, HMI, and SCADA layer using platforms like Rockwell, Siemens, Ignition, Wonderware, etc. in order to obtain the right solution for manufacturing clientsAbility to conceptualize proposed solutions and whiteboard and discuss with clientsHave detailed experience writing technical documents including proposals for estimating time, hardware, and project scopeHave detailed experience writing technical requirements and specification documentsExtensive working and applicable knowledge of many (but not all) of the following technologies:

PLC Programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and others)Visualization Development (FactoryTalk View, InTouch, Ignition Vision/ Perspective)Automation Concepts (OT networks, Drives, Motion, Robot programming, ThinManager)OEE, RFID, RTLS, AGV, and AMR. .NET, SQL are highly preferred but not required
