Computer Technician (2 Openings)
POSITION SUMMARYInstalls, repairs and maintains campus technology across all seven of the College's campuses.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTroubleshoots and repairs microcomputer hardware and peripherals. Plans, designs and installs new endpoint devices and software systems. Administers and maintains software deployment systems and creates images and installation packages. Reviews and resolves service tickets for campus-related requests.Responds to technical dispatch requests escalated from the service desk. Maintains an inventory of campus technology equipment, supplies, parts and stock.
Maintains an inventory of software and licensing. Works with third-party vendors to resolve technical problems when necessary. Troubleshoots network related issues and audio/visual systems. Supports and assists with technical infrastructure systems, such as electronic door access, security cameras and UPS devices. Occasionally travels throughout the service area to other campuses.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma
Three (3) years of experience in installation, maintenance and repair of computer hardware, software and network equipment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAssociate's degree
Five (5) years of experience in installation, maintenance and repair of computer hardware, software and network equipment
CompTIA A+ certification
Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager, JAMF and Quest Kace SMA/SDA
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESDemonstrated knowledge of microcomputers and software applications, such as Windows 10/11, macOS and Microsoft 365. Ability to read diagrams, schematics and technical manuals for repair and diagnostic information. Ability to effectively communicate with contractors, faculty, staff and peers. Ability to frequently walk, stand, stoop, crawl, climb, bend, kneel, work on elevated surfaces, work in small/confined spaces, work overhead and be in awkward positions for extended period of time. Ability to regularly push, pull, lift, move and carry 30 to 50 pounds. Ability to work occasional nights and weekends as needed to support campus events and/or respond to maintenance and weather emergencies.

$44,129 to $52,962 annually, depending on experience
