What You'll Do:
We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join the Traeger technology team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide new and innovative ideas to automate Traeger’s infrastructure and operations environments. We are looking for candidates with drive to make a difference and who are not afraid to experiment and learn new technologies.
How You Will Help Us Win:
Interface directly with other developers, teams, in order to provide automation services to the organizationSupport and maintain the production environment along with the build and release processes which includes the supporting toolsWork on multiple projects simultaneously; helping identify technical and governance similarities for best practices is a critical skillAssists in continuous integration, rapid deployment, and testing of software for both infrastructure and product useBuilds, releases, and configures management toolsets for production systemsContributes and improves continuous delivery of softwareCollaborates and communicates closely with teams to provide solutions to infrastructure and software engineering tasksSupports DevOps projects and software in production environmentsAssists in assessment of products and services for DevOps functionsSystem troubleshooting and problem solving across platforms and applicationsIdentify manual processes that can be automated
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Strong customer-service orientation.Ability to read and understand code.Ability to contribute to code base in a meaningful way.Contribute to architecture decisions, focusing on resilience and efficiency.Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals.Ability to conduct research into hardware and software issues and products as required.Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language.Highly self-motivated and directed.Keen attention to detail.Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 2 years equivalent work experience.Certifications in AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional preferredStrong scripting, API, and automation skillsProficiency in one or more of the following languages:PythonJavaScriptUnix Shell ScriptingCloud Administration (Azure, AWS, GCP)Experience with Chef, Ansible, Puppet a plusA solid understanding of Network and Security best practicesFamiliarity with Rest API Calls and tools such as Postman
