We’re building it today.The NCR Hospitality Command Center team enables support tools, telemetry and observability of our restaurants to free restaurant operators from having to analyze mountains of data in order to determine what actions are needed to improve their business operations. Restaurant operators need to spend their valuable time managing customer relationships and providing a unique restaurant experience. NCR will handle providing actionable, predictive information to improve profitability and overall customer experience. NCR owns the restaurant software industry with more restaurants deployed than any other provider and is uniquely positioned to drive this change in the hospitality business.As an engineer on the NCR Hospitality Command Center team, you will collaborate with a team of talented individuals to build upon the strong foundation of our current supportability and observability tools and transform them into our modern stream processing platform with strong visualizations and predictive monitoring of restaurant operations. You’ll do it in a manner that is cloud-native, API-first, and stream processing enabled – all the technologies and patterns that will put you and NCR at the leading edge of hospitality technology. Because so many meals and dining experiences are riding on the quality of our technology, you’ll bring a passion for ensuring that experience is peerless!RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain and build upon the Command Center foundation for the current and next generation of support, telemetry, and observability productsLead and develop new methods to collect and analyze restaurant event dataExplore, evaluate and design native cloud-based solutions to build models to store, analyze and expose restaurant events using streaming platforms and microservicesServe as a mentor for junior developers through design reviews, code reviews and open and challenging discussionREQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalentExperience with complex and distributed service oriented architecturesExperience as technical development leader designing and implementing both green field projects as well as migration of legacy solutions to modern technology stacks5+ years C#Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and SOLID principlesStrong understanding of secure coding practices; experience remediating security vulnerabilitiesFundamental understanding of T-SQL, SQL Server and SQL Management StudioExperience with Linux (including ssh, sshd, cron, and shell scripting)Experience writing unit tests, designing testable code, and refactoring legacy codeExcellent communication skills and also the ability to collaborate with SRE/AppOps teamsADDITIONAL SKILLS:

Experience with C++Experience with Windows networking communication protocols and concepts (sockets, HTTP, TCP, etc.)Experience migrating existing systems to a microservices architectureExperience operating very large data warehouses (10TB+)Experience building Grafana and Kibana dashboardsExperience with Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, Storm, etc. in a high-volume environmentExperience with enterprise reporting solutions such as Tableau or LookerProject leadershipJava, Python, JavaScriptExperience with RabbitMQExperience running applications in public cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS)Offers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the job.Full time employee benefits include:
