About The Team

Software Engineer (Applications): Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. Code may be used in commercial or end-user applications, such as materials management, financial management, HRIS, mobile apps or desktop applications products. Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Survey Tip: This job should be matched by companies that develop applications software. Companies that have both applications and systems software engineers and cannot identify them by function should match to Software Development Engineer (5101-5106).

About the Role:

Collaborate with the Product Manager and QA counterparts on functional design and analysis of requirementsDesign and develop a product in a metadata-driven development environmentCreate and maintain robust, efficient and maintainable code using an OO framework and class modelingCreate and maintain reliable automated testsTroubleshoot customer reported issuesMentor and learn from other team members through pair programming, code reviews, knowledge sharing, hackathons, etc

About you/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

6+ years experience with Web application development or SaaS (Software as a Service); UML is a plusOO design and development experience in an object oriented language such as Java, C#, etc...Experience designing/developing business applications, (knowledge of ERP systems, HR or Human Capital Management is a plus)Strong working knowledge of design and analysis of software for performanceYou feel the key to good object oriented development is strong design patternsYou believe applications should be usable and configurableMust be a collaborative team player with good verbal and written communication skills

Other Qualifications:

Experience with XML and Integration technologies is a plusWorking Knowledge of front end applications such as React or Angular is a plusBachelor's degree in a computer related field or equivalent work experience

About You

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location: USA.GA.Atlanta

Primary Location Base Pay Range: $118,400 USD - $177,600 USD

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $112,500 USD - $204,000 USD
