Position Overview:
As a Network/IT Project Engineer, you'll be part of a team that implements IT solutions, onboards and offboards LMT clients, installs and configures networking equipment, and performs complex network troubleshooting. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, experience with system administration, network infrastructure, network security and network management, excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, and a desire to provide exceptional customer service.

Day to Day Duties of the Network/IT Project Engineer:
Execution of Project Work Plans:
Equipment prep (servers, workstations, etc.)
Onboarding new clients
Email migrations
Onsite workstation setups
Troubleshoot problems as they arise on projects to find efficient and effective solutions
Other projects as assigned
Networking Duties:
Onsite physical installation of networked equipment: set up and deploy firewalls including ACL, NAT, client and site VPN's
Set up, manage, and secure VLANs
Troubleshoot common network issues
Perform network maintenance and upgrades including firmware upgrades, patches, and security configurations
Other Duties:
Regularly report on project updates to the Project Manager
Maintain detailed project documentation
Upon completion of tasks and cases, update LMT's PSA with documentation and time entries
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Self-motivation, organization, and time management skills
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of experience supporting servers, workstations, printers and network switches
Experience servicing and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange Server, SQL Server, and Active Directory
Experience with networking hardware, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Experience and familiarity with Sonic Wall or Ubiquiti
Experience with Microsoft 365/Azure
Network certification required - Network+, CCNA, etc.
Passion and willingness to investigate an issue until a resolution is discovered
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated
Reliable transportation required as the individual will either work at the LMT office or work onsite at client locations
Additional Preferred Skills
Knowledge of VMWare and/or Hyper-V a plus
Certifications: A+, MCP, MCSE, CCNA, and other related certifications a plus
Knowledge of ConnectWise a plus
