JFS is looking for a compassionate, mission-driven individual to join the Parenting & Youth Services team as the Program Support Specialist. In this role, you have the opportunity to use critical thinking and communication skills and your administrative experience to make a meaningful difference in your community and help change lives across San Diego. The Program Support Specialist plays an integral role on the team and supports the entire agency by providing overall administrative support to the Parenting & Youth Services department (Positive Parenting Program, Adolescent Family Life Program, and the Diaper Bank). This position reports directly to the Director of Parenting & Youth Services and works closely with the Adolescent Family Life Program staff and the rest of the Parenting & Youth Services team.

Responsibilities

:

Support with data entry and filingPhone support/returning client callsSpecialist will contact and screen potential AFLP clients via phone call or emailPrepare all department check and credit card requests and enter information into fiscal softwareTrack program related supply orders and interface with accounting staffKeep accurate files of client informationReview and upkeep inventory of program suppliesGenerate data reports to support in program evaluation and quality assuranceSupport the planning and implementation of the Parent Corps young parent support groupProvide as needed support to Diaper BankSkills/Experience/Abilities That Are a Must-Have:

High School Diploma (Bachelors preferred) with strong computer experience and general understanding of social service program evaluation/statisticsMust have a valid CA driver's licenseBilingual - English/Spanish requiredAt least 1-2 years of work experience in an administrative support roleExcellent computer skills, including strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and OutlookExcellent organization skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills and customer relationship skillsSkills/Abilities We'd Like You to Have

Experience working with Data Systems such as Etoi and Penelope preferred but not required.Previous experience working with Transitional Aged Youth
