Time off benefits for this position include:Paid vacation time and sick leave15 paid holidays, including Federal and Jewish holidays (as long as the holiday lands on a normal scheduled work day), and floating holidays2 Wellness Days to be taken any time during the year to support employees’ mental wellnessPosition Overview :JFS is looking for a compassionate, mission-driven individual to join the Aging and Nutrition Division team as the Program Assistant. In this role, you have the opportunity to use your organizational skills and office experience to make a meaningful difference in your community and help change lives across San Diego. The program assistant plays an integral role on the team and supports the entire agency by supporting the Senior Director of Aging and Nutrition and four directors with invoicing, meeting coordination, mileage reimbursement and assisting when programs as needed. This position works with a variety of staff to ensure timeliness of tasks.Responsibilities :Submit invoices for payment into accounting portalEstablish a process for reviewing program budgets with Directors monthlyAssist programs with procurement needsProvide monitoring of program contract milestones and reporting requirementsSupport research and analysis requests from DirectorsFacilitate scheduled Zoom meetings weeklySchedule meetings as necessaryAttend meetings and take minutesFulfill administrative work for Directors and programs as neededAssist in the Corner Market, weekly Drive Thru and Kitchen as neededAnalyze current processes and provide input about streamliningOther duties as assigned by DirectorsSkills/Experience/Abilities That Are a Must-Have :Must have a valid CA driver's license, insurance, a reliable personal vehicle, and a willingness to travel off-siteExceptional strategic, analytical, and critical thinking abilitiesStrong verbal and written communication skillsCreative, innovative thinker who embraces new ways of approaching planning, challenges, and opportunities; willing to challenge the status quo; adaptable and flexible in thinking and executionOrganization, time management, and prioritization abilitiesExperience with management of processes and systemsSkills/Abilities We’d Like You to Have :At least one year of experience working in an office support role to a team of staffPhysical Requirements :Lift up to 20 lbsIncomplete submissions will not be considered.
