OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the LAL Manufacturing Manager, the Technician, I will focus on supporting the development and scalability efforts of RxLAL technology. After training in manufacturing procedures, the employee needs to be capable of executing each process step, meeting time and quality standards.

This individual will interact with the other functions including but not limited to Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, Planning, Chemistry and Operations. It is expected that this individual will have the depth and breadth of experience to contribute to the overall manufacturing of the LAL lenses. The individual should be able to support cleaning & molding activities for various engineering studies. Furthermore, the individual should be able to provide critical feedback and observations from experiments, have the ability to move between projects and after training period perform assigned responsibilities with minimal guidance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Accurately collects and reports data, ensuring pilot units are conducted in a complete and efficient mannerSupport manufacturing of prototypes, pilot units and verification and validation unitsSupports the mold qualification and transfer activities, including providing and organizing key observations to the mold manufacturing team and supporting all mold conditioning related activities maintain cleanroom environment logs in accordance with established proceduresSupport following activities based on training and skillset:

Gowning/Kanban Inventory ReplenishmentCleaning of Molds & Lens HoldersCleaning of lens caps & casesMolding & inspection of layersConducting lens testing according to established work instructions utilizing a variety of equipment such as: dimensional, optical and mechanical test benches, and metrology (such as OCT).Assisting in validation protocol execution.With guidance from engineering, performs tests, gathers test data and records results in accordance with manufacturing requirements.

Acts as a reliable and core member of the team - comfortable communicating results, statuses, and updatesRequired Knowledge, SKILLS, and Abilities:

Microscope use, handling, and assembly of microscopic parts.Prior work inside a cleanroom environment.Must be adaptable with ability to multi-taskClear communicator (verbal and written)SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:

Training to be completed per the training plan for this position as maintained in the document control systemThe training requirements on TRN-10007 Insider Trading Policy, TRN-10008 Global Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy and TRN-10009 Code of Business Conducts and Ethics must be diligently completed within 30 days from the hiring date and on an annual basisCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

PAY RANGE:

$25.00 To $27.00 Per Hour
