The Role
This role will be responsible for managing and processing payroll for our multi-state population of around 4,500 employees with continued plans to grow like weeds...pun intended!Our ideal candidate has an incredible keen eye for detail and accuracy and is enthusiastic to learn the role. You have the experience and the tenacity to quickly learn Green Thumb's organization and challenges of the cannabis industry, as well as foresee any obstacles. You are ready to take on a challenge that entails learning new systems and executing day-to-day tasks with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.Responsibilities
Payroll AdministrationOwn and manage workflow to ensure bi-weekly payrolls are processed in a timely and accurate manner (+/- 1,000 employees)Process and audit employee updates in Wurk (HRIS/payroll portal) as it relates to compensation, job changes, transfers, garnishments/levies and terminationsResolve payroll discrepancies, process adjustments, manual checksProvide excellent customer service to employee and manager inquiriesRespond to tax notices and all other mailingsComplete verification of employment and unemployment requestsRespond to internal/external audits and reporting requestsWillingness to accept and complete other projects as assignedQualifications
Bachelor's Degree desiredMust have 3+ years of payroll experienceMust have experience processing non-exempt, hourly employeesProven experience and success in a fast-paced, high-growth organizationAdvanced computer skills, including ExcelExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong organizational and time-management skillsHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailExcellent and professional verbal and written communication skillsAbility to interact and communicate with all levels within the organizationDemonstrated understanding of multi-state wage and labor lawsExperience using the following products, a plus: Kronos, Wurk, GreenhouseAdditional Requirements
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential materialDetail-oriented and can pivot from a task when neededMust pass any and all required background checksMust be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
