Work you'll do/ResponsibilitiesCommunicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management.Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes.Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Work with outside data sources and APIs.Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

QualificationsRequiredProven working experience in Android app development for more than 5+ years.Proven software development experience and Android skills development.Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.Have published at least one original Android app.Experience with Android SDK.Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON.Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git or SVN).Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

PreferredKnowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred.Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools.Knack for benchmarking and optimization.Familiarity with continuous integration.Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards.Analytical/ Decision Making Responsibilities.Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products.Can operate independently or with minimum supervision.Excellent Written and Communication Skills.Ability to deliver technical demonstrations.
