Work you'll do/Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Data Requirements Analysis, Data Modeling and Development, Data Optimization and Configuration, Testing and Troubleshooting, Collaboration with other Data Teams, Stay Informed on Data Technology Developments, Project Contribution, Data Integration Expertise, Documentation, Continuous Improvement.Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and/or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management.

Join our team as a Data Engineer, specializing in Data Modeling, Engineering, DevSecOps, and Dashboards. Contribute to centralizing data in our warehouse for consistent reporting and analytics. Collaborate with DevSecOps experts, ensuring robust data governance and quality control with tools like Secoda. Build customer-facing and "Total View" dashboards on our Data Warehouse. Qualifications

Required

Knowledge of data governance and quality control, especially within a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment, using tools like Secoda.6+ years' experience in data engineering, with a primary focus on data modeling, ETL processes, and database management.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Java for data manipulation and transformation.Strong understanding of data optimization techniques and configuration within a centralized data warehouse.Hands-on experience in comprehensive testing and troubleshooting of data solutions with a commitment to ensuring a consistent model for reporting and analytics.Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, particularly in a DevSecOps environment.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Familiarity with best practices in data documentation and maintaining clear project records in alignment with DevSecOps principles.Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

PreferredSpecialized certifications in data engineering or related areas.Previous experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, particularly in the context of centralized data warehousing.Experience with big data technologies and frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) with an emphasis on creating customer-facing and "Total View" dashboards.Demonstrated contributions to open-source data projects.Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards, especially in a DevSecOps framework.Previous exposure to staff augmentation projects within the specified focus areas.Analytical/decision-making responsibilities.Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products.Can operate independently or with minimum supervision.Excellent communication skills.Ability to deliver technical demonstrations.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
