Group Financial Controller

Group Financial Controller- Hospitality- Permanent- London- PE backedAltum Consulting are excited to be supporting a high-growth SME within the hospitality sector to secure a Group Financial Controller. Our client is private equity backed and has over 15 iconic locations across the UK and Europe with plans to expand significantly over the next 3-5 years.The role will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the group, manage a team of 6 and have a key focus on creating and developing a "fit for purpose" control environment as the business continues to grow.Key responsibilities,Development and maintenance of internal controls as the business expands.Ensure collaboration with the wider businessDelivery of month end close and management accounts in timely and efficient manner.Ensure compliance with all statutory and legal reporting requirements.Administration and maintenance of core accounting system, property management system and PO system. Work with the data team to evolve systems and data management.Develop finance process for new activities and business ventures including expansion into new territories.Manage relationships with external stakeholders including, banks, HMRC, and professional advisers and private equity owners.Oversight of the teams, ensuring accuracy and efficiency of recording transactions, prompt payment of suppliers and collection of all income.Reviewing and authorising all supplier payments.Cash and working capital management and reporting.Team management, training and development of team of 6Required Skill-set ,Educated to degree levelFull accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA) with significant years PQEExperience working within the hospitality sector, or at least a multi-site businessExperience leading and developing a teamA self-starter attitudeIdeally some experience working within a PE or VC backed business (desired but not essential)
