The Technical Lead is responsible for technical planning and execution of technical solutions (projects or technical team's vision/backlog). The Technical Lead will be a technical expert in Full-stack Open Systems Development & Integration and will be responsible for building and implementing technical designs by solving complex IT engineering challenges. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead a team of developers and engineers in the technical delivery of software. Focus will be on but an Agent Portal to include a front-end Quoting solution on top of Duck Creek Policy.Provide leadership in the creation of strategic roadmaps focused on business and technology needs.Act as primary technical liaison; manage communication between technical staff and all project team members.Assist in determining project tech stack.Assisting in Proof of Technology, Proof of Concepts & Modeling of solutions for the organization.Manage technical debt decisions.Ensure the team's adherence to SECURA's published integration and development standards, security standards, and governance practices.Provide post-project thoughts, ideas, adjustments, concerns in regards to the technical aspects of the project (what went well, what did not go well, suggestions for improvements, etc.).Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of integration and development best practices.Assist with code reviews according to SECURA standards.Work with business analysts and technical team to plan product releases, provide estimates, and resolve issues.Mentor team members in development, requirements gathering, and development methodologies and process.Identify product and project risks, communicate them to the team, and create mitigation plans.Drive continuous improvements initiatives.Help clear technical roadblocks by working with Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architects & other Technical Leaders & team members. This can involve working on new standards and guidelines and adjusting existing ones.Manage the relationship with software vendors, escalating issues that require immediate action.QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT related field or equivalent combination of education/experienceApproachability, willingness to share knowledge, and ability to work in a team environmentStrong problem analysis/resolution, organizational, planning and prioritization skillsProven success leveraging technology to meet business objectivesAbility to clearly articulate design and implementation choicesComfortable with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders.Results oriented, self-motivated, resourceful team playerExpert knowledge in Software Development Life Cycle [SDLC], application development methodologies, tools, and techniques5+ years of Full-stack application development experience in a corporate environmentDesign and/or development experience in automated data transfers, both real-time and batch, and familiarity with security requirements for data in-flightAdvanced understanding of API development and related patterns (REST, HTTP/S and SOAP)Experience in the following languages, C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java LanguageExperience working on front end UI/UX solutions leveraging Duck Creek PolicyExperience working with XML and JSON data formatsExperience/Familiarity working with Duck Creek API'sExperience working within the Duck Creek platformPREFERRED:

Experience in the P&C Insurance industryHands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Anypoint Studio a plusExperience with MS Azure API Manager a plus

The preferred location of this position is for our corporate office in Fox Crossing, WI, but we will consider a remote/work from home arrangement for the right candidate.
