Senior Computer Vision (CV) / Autonomy Engineer:Intramotev is seeking a Senior Computer Vision (CV) / Autonomy Engineer to join the development team to meet growing demands in the development of self-propelled rail vehicles. Intramotev is developing multiple unmanned self-propelled vehicles. This role will take the lead in architecting the use of computer vision models for response and decision making – the successful candidate will be the computer vision / autonomy
lead engineer of the development team for innovative self-propelled capabilities such as using the results from the obstacle detection Machine Learning (ML) / Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms and RADAR/sensors fusion to make real-time decisions during route execution for current and future platforms. The development of these capabilities include multi-disciplinary skills - algorithms development, systems development and integration. This position will be based out of St. Louis, MO.
This position involves working in a dynamic team environment on small (1-2) to medium (3-6) person projects where excellent interpersonal and communication skills are needed.
Due to the research nature of the work, project objectives and requirements are likely to evolve over the course of the role.
A small amount of domestic travel to support integration, demonstration and customer engagement may be required.

Position Responsibilities
Works with stakeholders to
develop and document system requirements for the complex computer vision
models and decision responses using detection results.
Analyzes and translates
requirements into a robust computer vision detection / response system
architecture, and corresponding hardware and software designs and
interface specifications.
Tests and validate to ensure
system designs meet operational and functional requirements for obstacle
detection and response.
Solves problems concerning
and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the
entire product lifecycle.
Coordinates the supplier
development, test and production activities and coordination with the
supplier to optimize the design
Research
technological advancements for potential application to company business needs.
Makes recommendations for
technology investments.
Mentor / coach engineers on
the development teams
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
At least a Bachelor’s Degree
in Engineering, Mathematics, Science
2-4+ years of experience
leading teams of CV / AI / Autonomy engineers
4-6+ years of experience with
using CV models for response determination and reaction to detected
obstacles
U.S. Person (immigration or
work visa sponsorship will not be provided)
Motivated, detail-oriented
Willingness to expand into
technical areas beyond your area of expertise; ability to develop
innovative and novel approaches
Open-minded and comfortable
working in a teaming environment or as an individual contributor
Fluent in both written and
verbal English
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Candidate should have a working knowledge of one or (ideally) multiple areas listed below:
2+ years of experience C,
C++, C# and/or Python programming
Unmanned Rail Systems /
Unmanned Systems
Demonstrated experience
managing project teams and collaborating with other engineering
disciplines.
Typical Education and Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+1 years' related work experience, Master+3 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
