Our client is seeking an
Operations Vice President
to oversee Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain Departments, and to work collaboratively with
Development Engineering And Program Management To EnsureDesign for ManufacturabilityContract and Regulatory Compliance on all programsMentor a growing team of process engineers and production managersEducation/Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering or manufacturing technology discipline,MS or MBA preferred.20+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.5+ or more years in a senior leadership role over a manufacturing facility.Preferred :
Master's degree in mechanical, electric, or industrial engineering or related technical fieldExperience working with Defense or Battery environment a plus.Experience with thermal battery will be a significant advantage.Experience within a lean manufacturing environment with demonstrated results and oriented leadership leading to continuous cost, quality, and productivity improvement.Demonstrated success with Six-Sigma or other problem-solving methodologies in a production environment.Certified Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt preferred.Knowledge of all aspects of manufacturing processes.Hands-on experience with production test software and hardware development.Good analytical and communication skills.Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Knowledge of AS9100.Knowledge of ERP application.Responsibilities
Develop strategic goals, provide guidance, define accountabilities for the Operational Efficiency team.Develop and execute continuous improvement efforts to improve efficiency and utilization of production lines.Implement Lean manufacturing principles, identify and implement opportunities for process automation.Mentor and train a world-class manufacturing team devoted to zero-defect, maximum efficiency, and optimal throughput/capacity utilization.Oversee the allocation of personnel, material, and equipment resources to meet the daily objective.Plan, direct and coordinate the manufacturing of products in strict compliance with company goals and objectives.Effective management of the production departments.Manage multi-shift production operations to meet daily schedules at the optimum level of productivity and quality.Provide management and leadership to supervisors.Monthly reporting to management on program status, results, and activities related to continuous improvement.Detail understanding of multiple manufacturing lines operating in a clean-room / dry-room environment.Defines goals, improves technologies, and resolves manufacturing problems.Communicate clear objectives within and outside of the operational efficiency team to ensure expectations and accountabilities are understood.Establish a consistent operating rhythm to normalize collaboration and help achieve goals.Develop a strong and capable team that functions as a unit, enabling labor savings, implementing process automation where possible, to improve financial performance that meets or exceeds established annual targets.
