This employment opportunity is being recruited by Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego on behalf of Children's Specialists of San Diego.JOB SUMMARY:The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive physical assessment, treatment, psychosocial support, referral, and health education to children and families in clinical, school, and in-home settings. The Nurse Practitioner functions as a primary care provider, clinical leader, educator, researcher, and consultant and works with the supervision of a physician. The Nurse Practitioner supports the philosophies of the department of nursing as well as the medical staff.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s DegreeCurrent California Nurse Practitioner LicenseCurrent BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHAFurnishing number, State of California (must obtain within 1 year of employment)DEA license for position that require the writing of scheduled medications (must obtain within 1 year of employment)Medicare Billing Number (NPI-National Provider Identifier) - (must obtain within 6 months of employment)Certification: Nurse Practitioner, National (must obtain within 1 year of employment)Successfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff ServicesSuccessfully complete the requirements of the delegations of Services for the assigned divisionPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Master’s Degree2 years of experience in clinical nursing with emphasis in specialty areaExperience in specialty area as a Nurse PractitionerFormal in-service education and/or lecturing skillsBilingualThe expected hiring range for this position is $58.38 to $80.27Children’s Specialists of San Diego is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
