Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and successful sales professional to join our growing organization.

The focus of this position will be on generating new customer revenues with mid-to large sized public school districts and select private school organizations. The Account Manager is responsible for managing a territory and achieving established sales and gross profit targets. They will also develop a pipeline, forecast, solicit and secure orders from potential and existing customers.

Position Requirements

Essential FunctionsAccelerate sales growth within an assigned territory targeting large school districtsAchieve revenue and gross profit objectivesAssist with revenue generation, when necessary, with smaller districtsDevelop business through new customer developmentMaximize overall performance utilizing "effort-based" metrics such as frequency of contact, account penetration, forecasting, building a pipeline, and customer retentionConduct 10 to 12 in-person sales calls with district decision makers per weekUtilize a consultative sales approach to guide districts to technology solutions that best fit their needsUse a CRM to record sales activities, enter opportunities, and create proposalsDevelop an understanding of technology products and services provided by Visual Sound, IncProvide director of K12 sales with a monthly sales forecastAttend all sales meetingsCompetencies

Persistence, high energy levels and strong interpersonal skillsMust demonstrate past success with converting new customer businessDemonstrated sales and negotiation skillsTechnical aptitudeProven sales experience (2-4 years) including prospecting, presentation and closing skills or comparable experienceExceptional written communication skillsProven self-starter with experience of working from a home officeStrong attention to detailProven track record as a "hunter" of new business and new customersExcellent verbal communication and listening skillsStrong computer skillsValid driver's license and form of transportation
