Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.Design and define the functional architecture of complex software systems, ensuring alignment with business goals, scalability, and maintainability.Identify and document functional requirements, use cases, and user stories, ensuring they are clear, comprehensive, and actionable.Create and maintain functional architecture documentation, including diagrams, process flows, and data models.Define and enforce standards and best practices for functional design and implementation.Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, tools, and frameworks to meet functional requirements.Collaborate with technical architects and development teams to ensure the functional design is aligned with the technical architecture.Lead and facilitate discussions, workshops, and meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify ambiguities, and drive consensus.Work closely with project managers to plan and prioritize functional deliverables, ensuring timely and quality delivery.Provide guidance and support to development teams during the implementation phase, ensuring compliance with functional design specifications.Conduct functional testing and assist in user acceptance testing to validate that the system meets the defined functional requirements.Monitor and evaluate the performance of the implemented functional design, identify areas for improvement, and recommend enhancements or modifications.Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in functional architecture and design.Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience as a functional architect or similar role, designing and delivering complex software systems.A Must have expertise in quick prototyping of complex solutions.Strong understanding of software development methodologies, principles, and best practices.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable functional specifications.Solid knowledge of functional design techniques, including process modeling, use case modeling, data modeling, and domain-driven design.Experience with software architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman Framework) is a plus.Familiarity with enterprise-level applications and integration patterns.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and facilitate discussions to drive consensus.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.Experience working in an Agile development environment is preferred.Knowledge of relevant technologies and platforms specific to the industry or domain (e.g., CRM systems, ERP systems, healthcare, finance) is a plus.
