We are seeking a driven, high performing candidate with strong medical sales experience. This position will be responsible for the growth and development of Military Treatment Facilities [MTFs] and VA accounts. An effective Business Development Manager understands and can articulate their position in the customer landscape and vendor community and that understanding to revenue.

STRATEGIC PLANNING

Create and execute sales plan that brings value and measurable revenue to ADSDevelop and present annual plan to managementAssess this plan quarterly and adjust as neededDevelop long term plan for Market Growth

NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Complete joint visits with Suppliers to communicate ADS offerings to customers at VAs and MTFsUnderstand current climate of customer to provide short term and long terms needs of Customers at VAs and MTFsIdentify problem Manufacturers and communicate options for a solution to team for collaborative resolveTravel to VA VISN Contracting Offices to learn about requirements while in developmentMeeting with the Prosthetics Departments at every VA to learn about hospital and patient specific needsEducating customer base on ADS Platform and identify existing capability gaps with customerLeverage existing partner base to fill those gaps or seek new technology within industryNegotiate terms with existing suppliers to maximize overall marginWell-versed and able to articulate the ADS Value Proposition and identify new vendors and assess viability for partnershipsTravel to new vendor facilities to assess capability and products and to best understand where ADS can add valueMaintain deep relationships with vendor community - continually reinforce ADS value propositionUnderstand competitive landscape for category, both customer facing and vendor facing

CONTRACT EDUCATION

Full understanding of ADS ContractsBe able to articulate contract overview to customers

REQUIREMENTS

Must be friendly and likeable comfortable talking to "anyone"Must be competitive and have a winning spiritMust be a team player and work well with othersMust be utterly committed to providing legendary customer service5 years minimum of Medical Sales experience, preferably into the Government, or have a significant background in dealing with or working with the MTFs and VAs2 years of experience with MS Office tools, email, etc.Must demonstrate willingness to learn and adopt ADS selling techniques REACHMust be capable of cultivating and strengthening existing relationships while still identifying new customersBachelor's degree highly preferred, but prior sales and military experience may be substituted

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Must be an excellent communicator both in writing and in personAble to use customer and prospect contact activities tools (CRM systems) and update relevant information held in these systems as requiredAbsolutely must be a self-starter with a will and desire to be the best at what you doUnderstanding of government contracts and purchasing vehicles desired
