Consistent telemarketing and prospecting of appropriate accounts and market segmentsHandle guest requests and client requests as they ariseUse professional judgment, discretion and parameters set forth when quoting rates and contract clausesAssistance in the set up and servicing of meetings and in house guests, group and transient (as needed)Participate in daily business review meetings, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required.Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetingsKeeps abreast of budgeted revenue goals and assists in putting together plans and actions or originates and generates business when needed.Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customersAdhere to Kana Hotel Group sales call requirements, to include but not limited to site inspections, outside appointments, tele-prospecting and solicitationAssistance with the forecasting of special events, citywide conventionsTyping of written correspondence such as thank you letters after a group or meeting departsAssist the Director of Sales with weekly and monthly reports, as neededAttended any necessary classes to improve skill setAssistance in working any booth for trade show purposes, wedding showcase, bridal fair etc.Other duties as requested or assignedEducation/Experience
High school diploma/GED requiredMinimum of 1-3 years Administrative experience requiredAttention to detail and organizedHotel and Sales experience preferredProficient verbal and written communication skillsWorking knowledge of various computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and POS systemsAbility and flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
