Job Summary
The
Sr. Data Engineer
will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure, including data warehouse solutions, ETL processes, data quality initiatives, and data governance practices. You'll work closely with our data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure that our data pipelines are efficient, scalable, and reliable while maintaining high standards of data quality and governance. You will also play a key role in modernizing our data warehouse operations to align with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Essential FunctionsDesign, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions to support reporting and analytics.Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.Optimize and tune data pipelines for performance, scalability, and data quality.Develop and implement data quality initiatives to ensure data integrity and accuracy.Implement and enforce data governance practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.Modernize data warehouse operations by adopting industry best practices and emerging technologies.Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in data engineering, data warehousing, ETL, data quality, data governance, and modern data warehouse operations.Implements processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot and assist in resolving data issues.Design data integrations and data quality framework.Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Warehouse Engineer, ETL Developer, or similar roleProven Experience in SQL developmentExperience in programming languages such as Python, Scala, and/or JavaExperience with cloud-based data technologies (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake)Experience with ETL tools and processesExperience in Data Modeling Principles and ERD diagramsExperience in Report Development with Tableau, SSRS, or Power BIWorking knowledge of statistical methodologies, data analysis techniques, data management, dashboards, and workflowsProficiency with standard database tools, Microsoft SSMS and Visual StudioStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
