Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. We are seeking a Medical Coordinator in Butler, PA. The Medical Coordinator will plan, track, monitor, and ensure that all clients' needs are being met within appropriate time frames. The Medical Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling all annual, follow-up, and emergency medical appointments. This additionally includes communicating with medical professional staff, program specialists, supervisors, and program directors.Starting pay is $18.00/hour ResponsibilitiesSchedule all client medical appointments to state mandated licensing regulationsObserve and monitor client status through paperwork and follow-up appointmentsObserve and track clients' physical care including, but not limited to annual and emergency appointmentsProvide accurate, timely, and consistent documentation of client medical appointments in the appropriate recordsAttend all pertinent medical appointments that need to be addressed more clearly and precisely to achieve the best results for the individualCommunicate with supervisors, co-workers, and medical professionals' regarding clients' statusEmployees must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigationAdditional tasks and responsibilities may be assignedMinimum RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED; bachelor's degree preferredValid driver's license with a satisfactory driving recordComplete all state and agency required training per state guidelinesAbility to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supportsAbility to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWorking ConditionsMay be required to be on-call in cooperation with other management staffFrequent lifting, stretching, and other physical exertion may be requiredMay be required to transport individuals utilizing your own vehicle or company provided vehiclesMay be required to lift or move 25+ poundsMay assist with wheelchair transfer of non-ambulatory individualsMay be exposed to various medical conditions and communicable diseasesWhy Community Options?
