The candidate will be responsible for developing strong partnerships with internal operations groups and other accounting, financial, and regulatory groups to perform required job responsibilities. The candidate should have strong research skills and experience preferably in the taxation of software products and/or services.Responsibilities

Respond to both internal and external tax questions regarding taxability of the Company’s products and services, tax exemptions, etc.Research customer sales tax disputesDetermine appropriate sales tax sourcing for software related products and services, including cloud-based products, for complex multi-state transactionsAnalyze and review the impact of proposed tax laws to maintain Company’s sales tax matrix and ensure compliance with applicable tax lawsReconcile sales tax data including general ledger accountsManage sales and use tax returns outsourced compliance process including filings, payments and noticesManage sales tax auditsManage customer tax addresses and assist with revenue apportionment data compiled for state and local income tax reportingMaintain sales tax calculation software including product and customer taxability set up and troubleshootingManage business annual report filings outsourced processPrepare property tax returnsAssist with other tax responsibilities such as making estimated payments, preparing forms and various reconciliations.Requirements

7+ years of relevant tax/accounting experienceBachelor's degree in AccountingCPA certificationMaster’s degree in Tax is desirableExcellent managerial, organizational, and verbal/written communication skillsHighly organized, with the ability to multi-task and to meet deadlines.Accuracy and attention to details are criticalWillingness to take initiative and follow through on tasks, projectsStrong data reconciliation skills and general ledger understandingExposure to tax accounting software and tax compliance softwareExperience with Vertex & Great Plains software a plus.Committed to diversity and inclusion
