The main function of a Solution Architect is to develop and deliver pragmatic business solutions and strategy that fulfill specific short and long-term business objectives and service level agreements. This while balancing important concerns such as adherence to established practices, alignment with enterprise strategy, accountability to Prime's financial objectives, and working in a collaborative team environment.
Job Responsibilities:Drive the solution architecture ensuring the outcome meets the true business value by working closely with the Product Owner, Solution Product Owners, architect and product team.Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objective and document all architecture design and analysis work.Lead creation of conceptual and logical specifications for all layers of solution (people, process, technology, and information) through collaboration with business, enterprise, application, security and infrastructure architectsCommunicate effectively and clearly by crafting, articulating and executing a clear product vision that is consistent with Specialty's short and long term strategy defined by the Product Owner and/or business leadership to drive value to the organization.Develop architectures to include the software, hardware, and communications to support initial requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfacesEnsures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for Prime IT architectures, and profiles of standards as they apply to the implementation of developed architectures and specific to the solution for the platform, integration with other systems and any external interfacesResponsible for collaborating with enterprise architecture to develop enterprise artifacts for reuse by subsequent projectsWork across other IT teams to document requirements and support overall new product implementationLead, influence, mentor and provide feedback to others within the team.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred10+ years of work experience in IT, including 5 years in software development or application architectureExperience defining a variety of solution types, such as new system builds, legacy enhancements, application rebuild, build vs. buy analysis, integrating COTS software packages, Software as a Service or Platform as a Service as components of the solutionAbility to apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignmentsDirect experience with Agile Lean ArchitectureStrong collaborator with business and technical colleagues, adept at building rapportAdditional Qualifications/years of experience:
5+ years of service-oriented solution architecture experience working with Applications, Data, Services and API initiativesExperience as a Solution Architecture, Application Architecture and Architecture PatternsExperience with broad technology delivery, including custom development using various development languages; Event Driven Architecture and Mesh ArchitectureExperience with driving technical planning and solutions for software portfolio, including authoring or managing the development of software designs, managing vendor evaluations, and justifying technical recommendationsExperience with providing technical leadership, mentoring on software engineering design, development, and frameworks, analyzing alternatives, and presenting technical options to leads and clients
Preferred:
Experience in the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) and/or Health Care domainExperience working with big data and analytics. Experience with FHIR or NCPDP data standardsExperience working with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar Agile ProcessesTechnology:
