Job Description Summary:Develop pre-construction and construction job schedules to maintain timely and profitable job completion.
Job Description:Able to perform all essential Assistant Scheduler responsibilitiesAssist with developing scheduling department proceduresUpdate and monitor the quality of project team schedule updatesLead the development of bid / proposal/ project schedules and subcontractor schedules with project teams, self-perform, and trade partnersDevelop schedule detail, perform preconstruction and construction schedule updatesPrepare and analyze "as built" schedulesPrepare and oversee month end schedule reports and narrativesFlag scheduling risks and communicate risks with TeamsPerform delay and productivity analysis to calculate costs, write entitlement narratives, etc., for change orders and claimsAssist in mediation preparation and trade contractor negotiationsAssist project teams with measures recommendation regarding preserving rights for changes and claimsPerform and oversee with P6 database management, activity coding, cost, and resource loading in P6 schedulesPerform P6 and hands-on schedule trainingsPrepare and communicate weekly KPIs for Project and Self-Perform TeamsAssist with reporting scheduling metrics, status, and project health to Project & Division managementUses knowledge of financial management systems, contract and notice requirements to support teams with schedulingComplete other responsibilities as assignedMinimum Requirements or Experience Requirements
Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree, or equivalent7 years of construction experience including 5 years scheduling experience, or equivalent combination of education and experienceDemonstrated experience with construction-related scheduling Critical Path MethodWorking knowledge of construction methods and processesKnowledge of financial management systems and construction cost accountingKnowledge of contract requirements and notice requirementsEstimating and scheduling skillsUnderstands job cost informationAble to read and understand plans and specificationsProficiency with P6 Professional, Bluebeam, and Microsoft SuiteExperience in scheduling and productivity claims, a plusWorking knowledge of virtual construction technology systemsAbility to travel locally within divisions
