Position Title: Staff Accountant

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our client's finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and a passion for the commercial construction sector. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of our projects and be part of a dynamic construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for commercial construction projects.
Conduct regular financial analysis to monitor project performance and identify areas for improvement.
Assist in the development of project budgets and forecasts to support project planning and decision-making.
Accounts Payable/Receivable:
Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and vendor management, for commercial construction projects.
Manage accounts receivable activities, including billing, invoicing, and collections, to ensure timely payment from clients.
Reconcile vendor and client accounts, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
Payroll Processing:
Coordinate payroll processing for project staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Maintain payroll records and handle employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and deductions.
Collaborate with HR and project managers to address payroll-related issues and concerns.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.
Previous experience in the commercial construction industry or related field is a plus.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage), Microsoft Excel, and other financial tools.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
