Description
We seek a detail-oriented and analytical staff accountant to support our finance department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, financial reporting, and budget analysis. The staff accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with regulatory requirements
1. Accounting, Planning and Analysis
1.1. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling vendor statements.
1.2. Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide management with accurate and timely financial information.
1.3. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, and financial statement analysis.
1.4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
1.5. Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues and provide support as needed.
1.6. Assist with financial audits and tax filings by providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules.
1.7. Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and improve processes.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required;
2. 6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry or related field.
3. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SL, Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel.
4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
7. Knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting and analysis.
8. Familiarity with construction accounting principles and software (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint) is a plus.
